How do I set default apps? (Android 9 or higher)

    It is possible to replace a default app with a third-party app, for example, by changing the browser from Google Chrome™ to Firefox™. You can change the following default apps:

    • Assist & voice input/Assist app/Digital assistant input
    • Browser app
    • Home app
    • Phone app
    • SMS app
    • Tap & pay (Android® 9)

    To set a default app

    1. Find and tap SettingsApps & notifications/AppsDefault apps.
    2. Tap the type of app you want to set, then tap the app you want to use as default.
