How do I move apps from my device's internal storage to a memory card?
Follow the instructions according to the operating system in your device.

Android 8.0
- Make sure that you have an SD card inserted into your device.
- Find and tap Settings → Apps & notifications → App info.
- Tap an app that you want to move to the memory card.
Note: Only some apps can be moved to a memory card. - Tap Storage.
- If the app supports changing where it's stored, a CHANGE button appears → tap CHANGE.
- Tap SD Card → MOVE.

Android 6.0, 7.0, 7.1 or 7.1.1
- Make sure that you have an SD card inserted into your device.
- From your Home screen, tap the Application screen icon.
- Find and tap Settings → Apps.
- Tap an app that you want to move to the memory card.

- If the app supports changing where it's stored, a CHANGE button appears → tap CHANGE.
- Tap SD Card → MOVE.

Android 4.4, 5.0 or 5.1
- Make sure that you have an SD card inserted into your device.
- From your Home screen, tap the Application screen icon.
- Find and tap Settings → Apps.
- Tap the On SD card tab.
- Select application, then tap Move to SD card.
Notes:
- Some apps cannot be transferred to a memory card.
- You can move apps to the SD card on Xperia Z series devices that run on Android 5.0 or higher. If your Xperia Z series device is running an older Android version, try updating to Android 5.0 or higher.
