The Auto Standby setting does not work on the HT-AX7 speaker
If the Auto Standby function is set to ON, the speaker system will automatically enter standby mode after 20 minutes of inactivity and no input signal. You can confirm if the setting is ON on System Settings → Auto Standby on the Sony | Home Entertainment Connect or Sony | BRAVIA Connect app remote control screen.
However, when a smartphone is connected to the speaker system via HFP (Hands-free Profile) or HSP (Headset Profile), the Auto Standby function doesn't work. This also applies if you use the multipoint connection function and one of the devices is connected via HFP or HSP.
To avoid this issue, on the connected smartphone, disable the phone call function on the speaker system. With the Android™ 13 OS, for example, follow these steps:
- On the smartphone Settings menu, select Device connection.
- Select the Settings icon to the right of the headphone's model name.
- Turn off Phone call.
Note: For details, refer to the smartphone manual.
