Are system software (firmware) updates available for all Sony TVs?

Firmware updates only apply to certain LCD TVs and are designed to keep up with programming changes and enhance the overall viewing experience of the TV. Depending on the model, updates may be available in the following ways:

• Network Updates, which can be downloaded directly to the TV from the Network menu of the TV.
• Downloads are posted on your model support page.
• Downloading updates through an antenna or direct cable as a broadcast update .

NOTES:

• The TV must be connected to an active Internet connection to use the Network Update feature.
• Broadcast updates occur automatically and are not available through a cable or satellite box.
