One of the benefits of our newer Sony® TVs is that they offer the ability to obtain and install firmware and software updates while in your home. Those updates may be either installed automatically (for customers with an Internet connection), or downloaded and installed manually from our eSupport website.

Our Sony engineering team constantly analyzes product performance, as well as review customer feedback to plan for and design product enhancements or increase system stability and performance. As most of these updates are minor and do not result in any visible alteration to the consumer, they are released and installed without an official announcement.
