How to pair active 3D glasses with an Android TV

The active glasses for the X940C, X930C, X910C, W850C and W800C series Android™ TVs are:

    • The TDG-BT400A comes bundled with select model TVs.

NOTE: Refer to the supplied manual or iManual in the menu of the TV for model-specific information. Manuals are posted on your model support page.

    • The TDG-BT500A can be purchased separately as an optional accessory.

    Before you start

Prior to following these steps, make sure of the following:

    • The source device (3D Blu-ray Disc® player, DVR, cable box or satellite receiver) is connected to the TV using a high quality, High-Speed HDMI® cable.
    • A 3D signal from a source device is being played while pairing the glasses.
    • The Bluetooth® setting in the menu of the TV is set to On.

Steps to pair the 3D glasses

IMPORTANT: The TV provides a clear indication that a 3D signal is being played by displaying the message 3D signal is detected.

    1. When using the 3D glasses for the first time, remove the battery insulating sheet.

      Insulating sheet

    2. Put the 3D glasses on and stand with in two feet in front of the TV.

      Pairing Distance

NOTE: The glasses should be facing the front of the TV.

    3. Press the Power button on the glasses to turn them on.

NOTE: The power indicator on the glasses will blink green and yellow to indicate that the pairing process has begun.

    4. Once the glasses have paired, the green indicator on the glasses will light up green for 3 seconds and you will be able to see the 3D image being played.

If the pairing fails, the glasses will turn off. If this occurs repeat the steps above.

If the pairing process continues to fail after repeating the steps above, verify the following:

    • When connecting four or more Bluetooth devices (3D Glasses, Touch Pad Remote Control, etc.) to the TV, the connection or pairing may fail. Turn off any Bluetooth devices that you are not using, or cancel the pairing by another method, and then connect the desired Bluetooth device again.
    • The signal being played on the TV from the source device is in 3D. The message 3D signal is detected will appear on the TV screen. The image will appear blurry or double image without the glasses.
    • The Bluetooth setting on the TV has not been turned Off. In some cases the Bluetooth setting may automatically become disabled if the TV is unplugged or if there is a power outage.
    • Nothing is blocking the signal from the TV to the glasses. This may include the way the TV sits in an entertainment center or items that may be placed in front of the TV.
    • Move other 3D devices away from the TV. This may include another 3D capable TV.
