Pair your Bluetooth speaker with a compatible source device

Follow these steps to pair your Bluetooth® speaker to a source device such as a Walkman®, mobile device, computer, or TV.

Before You Start

• Check the supplied manual for model-specific information. Manuals are posted on your model support page.
• Place the source device within 1 meter (3 feet) of the Bluetooth speaker.
• Make sure that the Bluetooth speaker and source device are turned on and have sufficient charge.

Pairing Your Devices

1. Turn the speaker on.

   • If you turn on the speaker for the first time, the Bluetooth indicator flashes quickly and the speaker enters pairing mode. Proceed to Step 3.
   • The speaker will try to make a Bluetooth connection with the last connected device. If the connection is successful, the Bluetooth indicator will be steady. To connect another source device, disconnect the current Bluetooth connection first.
     

2. Set the speaker to pairing mode.

   • To enter pairing mode, press and hold the power or PAIRING button until you hear the voice guidance and the Bluetooth indicator flashes quickly.
     

3. Pair your source device within 5 minutes.

   • Follow the pairing procedure:
     • Walkman
     • NWZA, NWZE, NWZS and NWZX Series Walkman
     • Android™ Mobile Device
     • iOS™ Mobile Device (iPhone® or iPad®)
     • Microsoft® Windows® 7 Computer
     • Microsoft Windows 8.1 or 10 Computer
     • Bluetooth-compatible Android™ TVs
   • The pairing mode of the speaker ends after 5 minutes. To continue pairing, repeat the operation from the beginning.
   • If the Bluetooth pairing is successful, the Bluetooth indicator will be steady.
