Visible VCSELs are recently getting more attention among engineers and scientists. The most remarkable topic behind this is the progress in the research of GaN-based VCSELs that allowed blue and green emission from there. Combining those lasers to existing red VCSELs realized full color light source with superior characteristics of VCSELs, such as small power consumption, circular beam profiles, ability of arraying, and so on. All those should be suitable for displays in, for example, AR Displays. This talk gives a brief review of the recent progress of those VCSELs and introduction of future applications for those.
