This is a technical paper on VVC deblocking filter. The paper describes how the deblocking filtering in VVC works and how it has been designed and extended from previous standard (the HEVC) deblocking filter to especially enable reduction of blocking artifacts from large blocks for both luma and chroma and at the same time allow for parallel friendly processing and providing flexibility to adapt the deblocking filtering strength.
