Set up the Wi-Fi Direct feature on 2011 and 2012 TV models

Note: Some models (LAN ready) require using the UWABR100 USB Wireless LAN adapter connection to the TV to enable this feature. Check your TV manuals for model-specific information.

This information provides the steps to set up the Wi-Fi Direct feature on supported 2011 and 2012 TV models. Steps may differ slightly depending on your TV.
Enable the Wi-Fi Direct mode of your TV and connect
- It's recommended to install the latest software updates (firmware) on the TV.

- To automatically download software updates, make sure your TV is connected to the internet and the Automatic software download option is set to On.
- On the supplied remote control, press the HOME button.
- Select Applications.
- Select Wi-Fi Direct Mode.
- Connect your Wi-Fi Direct device to your TV. For details, refer to the manual of the device you are connecting.
Note: If you can't connect successfully, choose the manual option.
Manual connection option
- Press the OPTIONS button.
- Select Manual.
- Select either WPS or Other Methods.
- WPS (Push Button)
- On the Wi-Fi Direct device, go to the wireless network setting screen, select WPS (if capable, for automatic setup), or perform a scan to connect to the TV.
- The WPS setting is not available on all Wi-Fi Direct-capable devices. Check the manual supplied with the mobile device or computer for information regarding the WPS setting.
- Other Methods
- The TV screen displays the SSID and the WPA key needed to enter the Wi-Fi Direct device you're connecting to the TV.
