In a new initiative, Sony Corporation of America, a wholly owned subsidiary of Sony Group Corporation, announced on August 3 (EDT) the donation of 1 million U.S. dollars to support the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF)'s Learning Passport, helping to ensure that children and their families impacted by the crisis have access to quality learning and critical resources.
Sony Group companies have also donated Xperia™ smartphones to UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, to support humanitarian aid efforts in Ukraine and in neighboring countries, as well as audio and video systems to children's shelters in Ukraine to alleviate psychological stress.
