The INSPIRATION: AGITATION exhibit

A Sony designer recently exhibited a piece at the INSPIRATION: AGITATION exhibit, a showcase that ran from November 1 to November 5, 2017,
at AXIS Gallery in Roppongi (Tokyo). Featuring in-house designers with extensive experience in the field of industrial design, each of whom created a new work for the exhibit, INSPIRATION: AGITATION strove to confront the contemporary design world with new questions and new inspirations.
The exhibit framed designers’ current thoughts and visions as "questions" —and the objects on display as the "answers."

Hosoda exhibited the "Full Stick Wrap-Body," a high-functionality body suit concept model that wraps and sticks to the human body with a bevy of near-future technologies.

Fusion for harmony

Cooking, arranging flowers, scribbling, talking—creativity is everywhere in our daily lives.
Take a second to look into our creativity, and enjoy being that creator.
Someone told me that "Walking on a predetermined path is boring," but is there really such a thing as a predetermined road?
When we look at the world, we have no idea what to expect.

Nobody knows what lies in our future; the world changes every day.

What does the future look like for the relationship between "humans" and "technology?" Technology has enriched our lives, but will there be a day when technology overtakes human beings?
Rather than thinking about dominating or being dominated, I personally want to live in harmony with technology, and I believe we can do it.
Look at "water" and "oil." They don’t mix at first, but after a while, they harmonize to create delicious salad dressing.
I think creativity in all of us will be key to harmonizing humanity and technology to enrich our lives.

Yasuhide Hosoda works on projects across a wide variety of fields, ranging from wearable devices and AI-driven applications to designs for film props and new business development.
